Hey there folks,
We’ve been busy for the last couple weeks at Fanatic U. We spent all last weekend at the Woodward dream cruise, selling our t-shirts and enjoying the classic cars. If you were there, you might remember the weather getting bad in the afternoon. One of our tents got the worst of it and was blown clear in the air and landed 20ft away. Since last weekend however, we have fixed (and replaced where necessary) all of our tents and have them out again this weekend. The Taylor location is having a tent sale all weekend. If you’re in the area you should check it out, because prices are up to 90% off!

We know what you’ve been coming through this blog post to find and it’s right here. We have two pairs of Lions tickets to give away for tomorrow’s game against the Patriots. The first is for the winner of our Lions Season Theme Challenge. Give us your idea (by commenting on our facebook page) of a theme for the 2011-12 Lions Season. We’re going to start a weekly post called “Weekend Update” To let ya’ll know what is going on in the stores, as well as the website. Right now there is a ton going on. We’re gearing up for this fall by stocking all the official Lions gear as well as a ton of new Tigers stuff to fuel our upcoming playoff run! It is August and we’re ready for some action.

Speaking of Website Dave, last Thursday he and Allison took the Fanatic U street team to Social Media Day Detroit 2011. It was a fun night of prize giveaways, Detroit sports trivia and lots of free food! It was hosted by the Red Wings and Tigers, so naturally Fanatic U had to be involved. Dave and Allison gave away a bunch of free swag and promoted the new website. When all was said and done, it was a complete success. Dave and his friend Ang D ended up in a dance-off with two socialites who turned out to be professional dancers. Needless to say, it was clear who won the dance competition. (see pictures here)

This blog is the newest addition to the new Fanatic U website. We will be using it in the future to keep all of our friends and fans updated on the latest happenings at Fanatic U. We also love to talk sports and will be doing some sports blogging about our favorite teams. Feel free to add your comments and subscribe to the rss feed so you can get our articles first.
